He also managed operations at a major Dutch crowdfunding platform. Passionate about African nature conservation, Robbert is a FGASA-certified Field Guide.

Pieter van Dijke

Pieter is a results-driven manager with a background in Mechanical Engineering and International Technological Development. Since 1997 he has specialized in renewable energy and sustainable practices, delivering multi-million projects in Europe and East Africa. His passion for nature conservation drives pioneering work in reforestation and sustainable agriculture, while he is known for inspiring teams.

Gilles Abrahamse

With extensive leadership experience in the lighting industry, Gilles now focuses on leveraging his expertise for environmental impact. His mission is to support Green Horizon’s reforestation efforts, ensuring long-term sustainability and growth.

Stefan Crijns

Stefan has extensive experience in financial management. With a strong background in finance, he is now dedicated to supporting environmental sustainability initiatives, including those led by Green Horizon.

Sander Bubberman

Sander is an investment professional with a background in sustainable finance and renewable energy. As Investment Manager at Meewind, he focuses on impactful investments that accelerate the energy transition and drive measurable environmental impact.

Theo Ellenbroek

Theo is a seasoned legal professional with expertise in corporate and environmental law. His focus is on ensuring Green Horizon operates with strong legal and financial governance, aligning with sustainability best practices.

Roderick Feltzer

Roderick has a passion for sustainability, finance, technology, and impact. He has 20 years of professional experience across Europe, North America, Asia, and Africa, in both private and public sectors. Roderick pairs strategic leadership with deep expertise in finance, risk governance, and stakeholder engagement. He holds MBAs from Columbia and London Business School.

Jeroen Prummel

Jeroen has a backgrond in tropical forestry, nature conservation, sustainable energy and ict. Regenerative reforestation projects and ecosystem restoration are to his consideration the most important aspects to secure ecosystem services such as clean water, clean air, pollination and still have room to roam for communities. He prefers cooperation instead of competition to serve the greater good of a greener plannet.  

Jack Wright

Jack is a sustainability consultant with a background in Green Business Strategy and Ecology. He has worked on innovation projects in Amsterdam and helped revive the ancient grain industry in Australia. His passion lies in fighting poverty, fostering circular economies, and restoring ecosystems.

Vanessa Ayala

As a Sustainability Consultant with a Master's in Biological Sciences, Vanessa focuses on biodiversity and conservation. Her expertise in managing financials for projects enhances her ability to align scientific efforts with fiscal responsibilities. Coupled with her Environmental Engineering background, she adeptly addresses sustainability challenges, driving impactful environmental solutions.

Md Ataul Gani

Dr. Md Ataul Gani is a prominent researcher in hydrobiology, phycology, and geomorphology, focusing on environmental management and sustainable development. He holds a BSc and MS in Botany from the University of Dhaka and a PhD on nitrogen retention in river ecosystems. Dr. Gani aims to advance water quality assessment methodologies.

Nina Fresco

Nina is an ecologist and science communicator with experience in stakeholder engagement, research, and storytelling. Her background spans ecology, conservation, and sustainability, with a strong passion for bridging science and society through impactful communication.

Diego Ahumada

Diego is environmental specialist with experience in impact assessment, project management, and carbon footprint analysis. I have worked on reforestation, regulatory compliance, and sustainability initiatives in Argentina, with a background in Climate Change and Environmental Health, he brings an integrated perspective to advance ecological restoration and sustainable development projects.

Chloe Chin

Chloe is a versatile creative professional skilled in digital marketing, photography, and videography. She has led innovative campaigns for brands like VICE and Refinery29, driving engagement through storytelling and strategic partnerships. Her expertise includes creating short-form social media content and managing visual projects from concept to completion.

Giorgio Piracci

Giorgio is a seasoned manager with expertise in agro-business, supply chain management, sustainability, and specialty coffee. He excels in people management, coaching, and logistics, fostering C-Level relationships. An Italian native, he is proficient in English and Spanish. He holds two M.Sc. degrees and is a certified permaculture designer.

Roberto Cappabianca

Roberto is a conservation specialist with international experience in biodiversity monitoring and community-based projects. He previously worked with WWF International on Inclusive Conservation approaches and is currently contributing to the Global Ocean Accounts Partnership (GOAP) on integrating social and equity data into ocean policy. Roberto brings ecological expertise and a strong commitment to community-driven reforestation.

Joe Kristoffer Partyka

Joe is an experienced ecologist and organizational strategist with a Master's in Ecology and a Bachelor's in History and Political Science. At Sweco Nederland, he focusses on ecological consultancy, wildlife management, and science education. He excels in communication, project management, and is fluent in multiple languages, committed to driving positive environmental change.

Pere Alzina

Pere Alzina i Bilbeny is a biologist and environmental consultant from Arenys de Mar, Catalonia. He specializes in environmental education and consultancy, working on projects like peregrine falcon reintroduction and biodiversity plans. He also engages in environmental communication, organizes cultural heritage trips, and has co-authored books on environmental topics.

Yasmin Barwanitz 

Yasmin, born in Germany and raised in Argentina and Japan, has a global perspective from her studies in Germany and Denmark and travels to over 20 countries. She addresses environmental challenges through strategic work in nature, climate, and circularity, including UN food security initiatives and innovative nature-focused projects aligned with TNFD and SBTn.

Ayush Jha

A dedicated sustainability professional, Ayush is currently a Sustainability Intern at Dayrize, focusing on Life Cycle Assessments. With experience at SRON and the United Nations, he has researched emissions and sustainable hydrogen production. His academic background includes a Master's in Applied Earth Sciences from TU Delft and a B.Tech in Civil Engineering.

Elizabeth Barragán 

Elizabeth is a Colombian biophilic designer and innovative environmentalist, deeply influenced by nature's rhythms. She navigates diverse ecosystems, striving to balance human demands with environmental needs. Committed to fostering interconnectedness, her work spans ecosystem restoration and sustainable transformation, aiming to cultivate adaptive solutions that enhance both land and its inhabitants.

Elikana Ngogo

Elikana serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Tanzanian affiliate of Green Horizon Foundation. He is an experienced international project developer and stakeholder & permits manager, specialised in the fields of sustainable water, agriculture & horticulture, energy and agro-forestry projects. He has developed and constructed various sustainability projects in East Africa where he has an extensive network.

Efrem Kimaro

Efrem Kimaro serves as the Treasurer of the Tanzanian affiliate of Green Horizon Foundation, leveraging his extensive experience as Managing Partner at EVK Certified Public Accountants. With a strong commitment to sustainability, he oversees financial strategies that support the foundation's mission, fostering environmental initiatives and community engagement in Tanzania.

Wilson Simawanga

Wilson is the Team Lead of the Green Team; a dedicated group of professionals in reforestation efforts. Wilson and his Green Team successfully planted 16,000 trees at Green Horizon's pilot project in Udumuka in Iringa, Tanzania. He is trained in seedling production and reforestation, and is committed to fostering sustainable environmental practices for Green Horizon.
