Since 1st of January 2024, Green Horizon has been recognized as a Public Benefit Organization (Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling, ANBI) by the Dutch Tax and Customs Administration. This designation affirms our commitment to environmental restoration and offers tax benefits to our Dutch donors.

What is ANBI Status?
An ANBI is an institution that dedicates at least 90% of its efforts to the public good, such as reforestation and land conservation in Africa. This status is granted by the Tax Authority to eligible charities and cultural organizations.
Benefits for Donors
Donations to Green Horizon are tax-deductible for Dutch taxpayers. Both periodic individual donations and one-time corporate contributions can be deducted from income or corporate taxes. For detailed information on tax benefits, please visit the Tax and Customs Administration.

To maintain our ANBI status, Green Horizon adheres to the following:
Non-Profit Objective: Our mission focuses on environmental restoration without a profit motive.
Transparency: We publicly share essential information, including contact details, financial data, policy plans, and current activities, ensuring transparency in our operations.
Remuneration Policy
Currently, Green Horizon operates with an unpaid Board and Supervisory Board. As we grow, we will consider hiring staff to expand our fundraising efforts and manage additional projects effectively.
Financial Reporting
As a newly established organization, we are in the process of finalizing our financial reports. These will be published upon completion to uphold our commitment to transparency.
Policy Plan Overview
Green Horizon aims to restore and manage lands globally, protect wildlife, develop new natural areas, enhance ecological diversity, and implement social impact programs. We collaborate closely with local communities, landowners, and governments. While our current focus is on Africa, we are open to expanding our efforts to other regions.
